The highly anticipated Sony a7 IV is finally here, and the company’s do-it-all camera brings with it a variety of new features and improvements in its fourth iteration that make it a compelling option.

- No recording time limit
- Improved heat dissipation for longer recording
- XAVC GS and XAVC S-I codecs
- Bitrates up to 600 Mb/s
- S-Cinetone for natural skin tones
- Hybrid Log-Gamma
- S-Log3 with over 15 stops of dynamic range
Although the lack of a 4K 60p option that uses the full width of the sensor has raised a few eyebrows, overall, the a7 IV looks like a versatile and powerful camera for a variety of video work.
