Instant cameras are big business these days, with Fujifilm’s instant camera line outselling its digital cameras by over 3x, and now Canon wants a piece of that pie (or slice of that market share).
The IVY CLIQ and CLIQ+ are both small compact cameras, with the CLIQ+ being the more premium of the two. Both cameras accept 2×3-inch ZINK paper (10 sheets at a time), feature a built-in flash, have an optical viewfinder, offer microSD card storage, auto-expose and autofocus, USB charging, and are powered by internal lithium-polymer batteries.

The CLIQ features a 5-megapixel sensor behind the wide-angle lens while the CLIQ+ offers 8 megapixels.
While the front of the CLIQ features a small integrated selfie mirror, the entire front lens area of the CLIQ+ is a large 2-inch selfie mirror with built-in frame lines.
The CLIQ+ also features an LED ring light, remote shutter, and self-timer.
But the biggest extra featured offered by the CLIQ+ is wireless Bluetooth connectivity that allows the camera to be paired with the Canon Mini Print mobile app.
The app “features a variety of photo design options such as filters, photo frames and text to provide a multitude of opportunities to create fierce photos,” Canon says. “Through the app, users can also customize their experience by recording their own on/off and shutter sounds. Users can even set up remote shooting for the ever impressive group photo.”
ZINK prints can be shared with friends and used as 2×3-inch stickers.
Both the CLIQ and CLIQ+ will be available in a range of colors starting in April 2019 and will cost $100 and $160, respectively. A pack of ZINK paper is bundled with each camera, and you can buy more 2×3-inch ZINK photo paper for about $0.30 to $0.50 per sheet.
