Canon is one of those top brands that act swiftly to complaints of camera users in general and this has led them to develop an image sensor that has the capacity in capturing high-quality colour photography even in the dark. The company mentioned that the sensor will be able to shoot clear photos even in situations where nothing is visible to the naked eye that is almost total darkness.
The DLSRs have the usual CMOS sensor which recognizes up to 10 of brightness of light that can be detected and also take much clearer pictures in dark conditions. The sensor has a light-receiving element which is called the Single Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) which will be implemented in the CMOS sensor. The sensor is said to be mass-produced in 2022 which will have a great image quality in the conventional field. However, Canon has managed to create a sensor with 3.2 million pixels, which it says is more than three times the resolution of conventional SPADs and makes it the highest-resolution sensor of its type ever made.
