According to the folks at Canon Rumors, a reliable source has confirmed that the company is working towards debuting an APS-C sensor mirrorless camera that would carry the titular RF-Mount in 2021.
Scheduled for release in the middle of 2021, the camera is said to be aimed at sport shooters and videographers and will be the smallest in the RF line up of cameras. The source also says there will be no RF-S lens to come with the camera implying that the camera won’t exactly be ‘inexpensive’ meaning Canon might just get away with running two separate mirrorless APS-C mounts (M Mount is still very much active until otherwise spoken by Canon).
With this still being the confirmed rumor stage, there’s still a couple of months before the official word comes out and details start to emerge to give us a glimpse into what the camera will make possible.
