Photography is Art and like all art forms, it’s fluid, capable of taking any shape and form. The journey to achieving a particular feat isn’t a strict one, and as such; many photographers delve in constantly, creating and sharing this art form but in the long run, can’t be identified because when you do a bit of everything, it’s almost as though you’re doing no bit at all.
Now don’t get me wrong, it is good to explore. Growth can only come when you spread your wings and fly over uncharted territory and conquer new grounds but consistency is what will give you the recognition that you’re hopefully searching for.
When deciding on a style of photography, it’s best to first test all waters and know where you fall short and where you stand strong, then assessing the needs of those around where you’re located and then probably tailor your style to fit the needs of the surrounds.
Also, it is important when tailoring your style to factor what you love doing. In doing that, you make it about passion and whenever passion is involved, there’s always a great possibility of growth and willingness to expand.
Creating a Photographic Style entails both photography and post production so it’s not something to rush… Give it time, Give yourself time, it’ll come to you but if it doesn’t… Well, you can also nudge yourself in the direction you feel is best for you.
