It’s a little over two weeks before the entry portal for the 2021 Wellcome Photography Prize closes which means you still have the time to turn in your entry and stand a chance to win international exposure, £1,000, and a grand prize of £10,000.
The 2021 Wellcome Photography Prize is exploring the human side of three urgent health challenges: Mental Health Problems, Infectious Diseases, and Global Heating. According to the prize organizers;
“These challenges affect people of all ages, in all parts of the world – although their effects are not felt equally.
But there is hope. People and communities around the world are coming up with ingenious ways to manage mental health, control the spread of infections, and adapt to the local health risks of global heating. Theirs are the voices we want to hear – the inspiring stories that need to be shown and shared.”
Photographers can submit images pertaining to three different segments; Managing Mental Health, Fighting Infection, and Health in a Heating World. Entry is free and the portal is open until midnight, January 18th (11:00 PM Nigerian Time), Judging will start in March and winners will be announced in the Summer of 2021. There will also be an exhibition of the winning images.
