DJI and Zhiyun Tech are the known names in the stabilization hardware business but FeiyuTech is shaking the industry with their new professional gimbal; the AK2000C, which offers features like the recently released DJI RS 2 and RSC 2 but for a fraction of the price.
With a maximum payload of 2.2kg ( will comfortably hold the Canon 5D Mark IV with the 24-70mm), the new AK2000C features a solid build with a battery life of seven hours and fast charge capabilities. The gimbal integrates FeiyuTech’s W7 precision control algorithm, which the company says is “industry-leading” and “quickly offsets picture flutter” for “a guaranteed stable and smooth performance.
The gimbal also has a touchscreen that offers control over the gimbal and in some cases, can also control the camera with the company saying supported camera includes Sony’s a7 series, Canon EOS R, Nikon Z7, Fujifilm X-T3 amongst others (click here for full list) while featuring modes like inception mode, time-lapse, one-touch selfie/portrait mode amongst others.
The AK2000C costs just $230 dollar and while the DJI RSC 2 holds a larger payload and has a longer battery life, the AK2000C will suffice just fine if your budget isn’t ‘just there’ You can learn more about the new gimbal here or watch this review by GizmoChina;
