Photography is an ever-evolving skill that seeks out improvement every step of the way and there are a few Masters in Nigeria who have carved out a niche and in that niche created their own style and are recognized for it. One of such persons is Portrait Photographer and Educator Aham Ibeleme.
We spoke to Aham in 2020 (click here to read that interview) on his journey into photography and the challenges he overcame and how he crafted is unique style of cinematic portraits. Next week, Aham will be impacting knowledge to the next generation of unique photographers who seek to become better at creating their own unique imagery. Aham is a seasoned educator of photography, having taught and facilitated multiple workshops as well as being the author of the books “How I Shot It [Vol 1&2]”.
According to the description on his website;
I am excited to announce my 10th workshop, holding in Lagos, Nigeria. This workshop is a must for those who want to take the mystery out of using strobe lighting, learn to become a creative force and THINK LIKE AN ARTIST!
The Workshop is an opportunity for all photographers professional or amateur to hone their photography skills by learning from one of the best in the business. The four day intensive workshop will take participants through the tricks of the trade and provide in-depth practical and hands on photography techniques that can be used to dramatically improve day to day creative skills, as well as a practical insight for those hoping to enter into the business of photography.
Over the days, I will be having models on site for the hands on lighting demonstration. Each of the attendees will have an opportunity to experiment with the various lighting techniques covered in the lectures, so bring your camera kit! And not to be overlooked, I will be covering a lot of my Photoshop techniques used in my photographs. I hold back nothing in revealing my photographic process. To finish the workshop off, my last session “Thriving in the Marketplace”, is designed to prepare and encourage photographers to get out and create an income with their craft. With my guidance, learn how to shoot and edit photographs for Portraiture and Beauty, get involved in interactive knowledge exchange sessions with other participants and most importantly, have lots of fun.
