Mads Peter Iversen, a landscape photographer and Youtuber shares some helpful tips on how to improve your landscape photography. The tips are especially helpful to beginners who want to wake up their photography skills.
Known to cover a lot of beginner advice on his channel such as ‘focusing tips’ or ‘the best camera settings for varied landscape photos’, Iversen takes on a broader view in his latest tutorial. He covers five simple tips that will instantly improve your landscape photography. They include:
- The best light is not always orange, red, or pink – Seek out other color palettes.
- Stay in one location for longer – i.e. don’t just leave after golden hour!
- Shoot, shoot, and shoot some more – Over-capture every scene just in case, it could save your composition in post.
- Stereotypically “great” light isn’t everything – The light needs to serve the scene or composition you’re trying to capture.
- Use the seasons to your advantage – Try to capture the “mood” of every season as you shoot.
In the video, Iversen provides a lot of example images to go with each tip.
