MAKE PLANS TO ATTEND THE L.O.T CULTURAL FILM FESTIVAL IN KANO

A cultural film festival for cultural preservation, promotion and protection. Cultural custodians, ambassadors, filmmakers and other stakeholders will promote the wealth and attractiveness of their culture for filmmaking and storytelling. The cultural film festival will be a rich platform for creative inspiration, traditional research and cultural connoisseurs.

The LEGACY OF TRADITIONS: CULTURAL FILM FESTIVAL being held in Kano Nigeria is aimed at encouraging innovation and digitization to develop cultural economies and build industries through festivals and cultural traditions so that the legacy of traditions is infused in our industrial revolutions establishing a future heritage

• Promoting Kano as a destination location for culture, tourism and film production.
• Promoting festivals and heritage as rich aspects of culture for creative inspiration and inclusion. E.g screenplay, backdrop integration for film, music score and costume.
• Highlighting the value of traditions, values and natural endowment for more diversity and vibrancy into story telling & film production.
• It will feature several cultural documentary screenings over a 10-day period during the magnificent and historic Kano Durbar during Eid al-Adha.
• It will also feature a 3-month cultural experience journey of depicted cultures in cultural experience centres including live interactive media and other cultural presentations starting from the commencement of the film festival.

The film festival will also feature:

• Interactive sessions on locations for film, cultural festivals & traditions for
  stories.
• Interactive sessions with traditional rulers and other cultural ambassadors.
• Interactive sessions with cultural and heritage gatekeepers.
• Interactive sessions with Studio Executives & Nollywood filmmakers.
• Interactive sessions with the creative industry from the Emir of Kano’s palace.
