One year after the release of the Hero 8 and GoPro in a timely fashion has released the all-new GoPro 9 that spots a new 23-megapixel sensor (a huge leap from the 12mp sensor on the Hero 8) and an increased 5K video resolution from the initial 4K on previous models.
The Hero 9 features a new colour screen in front that assists in framing shots for vloggers and selfies. It has a 23-megapixel sensor that shoots 20-megapixel pictures and 5K/24fps videos. The screen behind as usual is a touch screen that allows you to access the settings and change the various parameters of shooting. The Hero 9 is water-resistant at up to 33 feet underwater and also comes with better stabilization dubbed the “HyperSmooth 3.0” that offers incredible amounts of in-camera stabilization using the on system gyroscope. This also enables the Hero 9 to correct horizon levels so you get the best and correct view angles.
The Hero 9 features a new Max Lens MOD that’s attachable to the GoPro’s camera and offers a super wide-angle view and an “unbreakable” Max HyperSmooth stabilization at up to 2.7K/60p.
The GoPro Hero 9 is currently available for $450 but you can get it for $350 if you purchase it alongside a one-year GoPro Subscription. You can learn more about the new action camera or pre-order yours if you click here.
