In the last three weeks, third party accessories developer Meike has been on the roll, releasing lenses for Sony, Canon and Nikon and now, they’ve dropped another lens exclusive to the Nikon mirrorless Z mount in form of the 25mm f/1.8 lens that goes for just $75.
The lens was announced over the weekend on the Meike Global website. Its a fully manual lens with no auto focus system or electronic contact pin, meaning there’ll be no way to extract EXIF data from the images. It has no special coating and is geared towards Nikon APS-C mirrorless line up like the Z50. It consists of seven elements grouped into 5 and since there’s no special coating, its uncertain how ghosting, chromatic aberration and flaring on the lens will be like.
The Meike 25mm f/1.8 is currently available for $75 on the Meike Global Store here.
