After over 7 weeks of releasing the initial Olympus OM-D “Webcam Beta Software” for Windows OS (and announcing a new lens road-map into 2022), Olympus has released the same application for MacOS users that allows them turn their Olympus OM-D cameras into ‘really’ high definition web cameras.
Outside releasing the software, the company has not added compatibility for any other cameras outside the initial five that came with the release of the Windows OS app which include;
- OM-D E-M1X
- OM-D E-M1
- OM-D E-M1 Mark II
- OM-D E-M1 Mark III
- OM-D E-M5 Mark II
Its unclear if Olympus will make more cameras compatible in the future but for now, you can download the app for MacOS here or that for Windows OS here.
