Since details about the upcoming Panasonic Lumix S5 leaked online last week, speculations have been that the company would announce the camera soon enough and now, the company has come forth with Wednesday, September 2nd as the official date for the unveiling of the new entry-level camera.
Early Yesterday, the first of sneak peek of what the S5 would look like surfaced online and outside of the matte-like body finish and S5 engraved on it, there’s not much to go by but with just 2 weeks until the company officially unveils this new camera, all we can do is wait.
The new S5 camera is said to feature a 25.2 megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, shoot 7 frames per second in burst mode, and will be capable of 4K video at 60fps with a 5 axis IBIS system. According to Panasonic:
“We are committed to meeting the passionate demands of all creators through our LUMIX brand, and the new LUMIX S5 is one of the embodiments of this commitment”.
