As photographers to make creative and beautiful images, you need to communicate with your subject. One of the many ways to add a spark of creativity to your images is understanding postures.
POSING TIPS
- TURNS: Instead of having your subject face directly to the camera, photographers need to make their subject make different turns and change the body posture of their subject to add a creative touch to their images and give an overall view of the subject
- FACE POSITIONING: It is important that the entire upper view(especially the face) of the subject must be documented in your shoot, so you need to position your subject in such a way that they don’t lean backward in a shoot. Telling your subject to bring their chin down helps give an overall view of their face and facial expression.
- WEIGHT POSITIONING: Position your subject in such a way that he or she is on their back foot. This helps them maintain balance. Shifting the weight will align the hips and shoulder giving a more comfortable pose for the subject.
- COMMUNICATION: Photographers need to communicate with their subjects to enable them to take pictures from certain angles and shoot amazing images.
