According to reports emanating from Canon Rumors, Canon is gearing up to release the successor to their widely popular vloggers APS-C mirrorless M Mount M50 camera.
The report came with an updated specs list that slightly differed from what the site has published awhile ago. While Canon has stated that they’ll be releasing a new APS-C camera soon, the guys at Canon Rumors say that Canon is planning on releasing the camera before the end of 2020, and with only 2 months left to go, it’s easy to speculate that the camera would be announced/released in late October or early November.
Below is the updated spec sheet:
- 32.5MP APS-C CMOS sensor
- DIGIC X processor
- Version II of Canon’s Dual Pixel AF
- Maximum continuous shooting speed of 14fps
- 4K/60p no-crop video recording
Previous reports had stated that the new M50 would be coming with an IBIS system and a double SD card slot but this report has debunked those reports/rumors. At 32.5 Megapixel, the M50 Mark II will share a sensor spec with the widely popular Canon 90D DSLR released last year but with cameras like the new Sony a7C, the M50 Mk II will have to bring something spectacular to the table or cost ‘reasonably’ to be a market contender.
