The Canon M50 is a vlogger’s delight; lightweight, shoots 4K video, and has an ideally okay battery but according to Canon Rumors, all that is about to get even better with the mysterious M-mount camera Canon is reportedly working on.
In a report on their site, Canon might likely include in-body stabilization in their next m-mount APS-C mirrorless camera which is likely to be the Canon M50 II. Canon for the first time included in-body stabilization in the new EOS R5 and R6 and with the almost (if not completely) perfect image stabilization on Canon lenses, it’s easier to see why this would be a huge win for the company.
While all this is certain yet, there’s always a hint of truth in these rumors and we’d have to wait a couple of months to see if any of these pans out as CR expects Canon to announce the camera in late 2020. Canon currently has three operating mounts (EF, M, RF) and while the company stated earlier this year that it had no plans to discard the M-mount, there are hopes that there will be RF to M adapters in the closest future to assist RF lens users to adapt to M cameras.
