Alongside rumors of Nikon working on a Pro body mirrorless camera to release in 2021, reports that have surfaced online seem to suggest that the company is planning to debut not one but two new DSLRs in the coming year.
According to Nikon Rumors, in a recent internal presentation at Nikon, plans are to release two new F-Mount DSLRs in 2021 alongside some F-mount and Z mount lenses. The report seems to suggest that the company is aiming at releasing 8 new Z mount lenses for the Nikon mirrorless system before the end of 2021. It also stated that amongst those lenses would include two macro lenses and five prime lenses.
The site states that in the said presentation, Nikon has no plans to cancel its DSLR F mount line up yet but is currently focused on growing and improving its Z mirrorless line up. It stated that DSLR sales currently supersede mirrorless sales but all that is expected to change in the first quarter of 2021.
