Last week, We reported that Nikon was planning on releasing a new camera; the Z5 to rival the Canon RP. It would be a mirrorless entry-level full-frame camera and unlike the Canon RP, would have dual SD card slots.
Now, new details have emerged and it seems during the announcement, Nikon will be premiering three new lenses alongside the new camera. According to Nikon Rumors, Nikon will be announcing the new camera alongside a new prime lens and two zoom lenses. The lenses to be expected include;
- NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3
- NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S
- NIKKOR Z 14-24 f/2.8 S
The 24-50mmf/4-6.3 is most likely the kit lens that will accompany the Z5, the 50mm f/1.2 S is set up to rival Canon’s 50mm f/1.2 L USM lens and the 14-24mm f/2.8 S is the final piece in the trinity of f/2.8 lenses with Z mounts (Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S and Z 70-200mm f/2.8 S).
Nikon Rumours states that the announcement is most likely to come on or around the 21st of July, well after Canon and Sony launch the R5, R6 and a7S III respectively.
