With the Canon EOS R5 capable of 8K RAW video and the Canon 1DX Mark III capable of 5.9K video, it was only a matter of time till there was a fleet of third party lenses lining up to give photographers options and now, third party lens manufacturer Samyang has announced its new line up of Cinema prime lenses that will cut across all of Canon’s mounts.
The new line up which currently consists of four primes (Samyang Cine 24mm T1.5, Cine 35mm T1.5, Cine 50mm T1.5, and Cine 85mm T1.5) is available for both Canon EF and EF-M mounts as well as Canon’s RF mirrorless mount. Described as “a cinematographer’s first set of cine lenses”, the lenses are aimed at independent cinematographers on a low budget, looking to grow their craft and explore their creativity whilst not compromising on quality. The lenses are weather-sealed and feature 9 aperture blades to give that smooth cinematic look and premium Bokeh when shooting at T1.5.

The lenses are also available for Nikon F mount, Sony E mount, Fuji X mount, and Micro Four Third cameras. To learn more about the lenses, visit the Samyang website here.
