After debuting the AF 75mm f/1.8 and AF 45mm f/1.8, Rokinnon Optics, makers of Samyang lenses has just completed a trinity of some sort with their new AF 35mm f/1.8 lens in their “Tiny Series”.
The tiny series is a group of quality, compact prime lenses built for Sony mirrorless camera and the newest member to the club holds true to that reputation. The lens features 10 elements in 8 groups, including an aspherical element to reduce chromatic aberration. It also features a 9-blade circular aperture that creates beautiful, soft Bokeh. It inherits the custom control ring from the AF 75mm f/1.8, which allows the user to switch between Mode 1, which controls focus by default, and Mode 2, which controls the aperture with the company promising more custom options in a future firmware update. The lens is also weather-sealed.
