Sony is getting ready to announce a brand new mirrorless camera, an entry-level camera that will be its smallest and cheapest full-frame body to date.
According to sonyalpharumors, the camera will not be part of the a7 or a9 lines, instead, it will most likely be the first of a new line-a5 or a6.
Following a registration by Sony Taiwan that was newly discovered, it seems that the camera will use Sony’s NP-FZ100 lithium-ion battery as well as a USB Type-C port, a single SD card slot, a built-in mic, and headphone jacks and also offer Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
Apart from the specs already mentioned, nothing else is known about the camera other than it might or might not feature an electronic viewfinder.
According to Sony alpha rumors, Sony is most likely to unveil the new camera in mid-September if COVID 19 does not disrupt things.
