Sony has just teased that it will be introducing a new line up of cinema cameras soon, that according to them will put their “expertise in image quality, attention to detail, technology, and passion in digital cinema” to use to create the perfect cinema camera line for cinematographers and filmmakers.
While there isn’t much to go by, indications are that the first in the line-up, the Sony FX6 will ship sometime this year. Sony teased the FX6 alongside other cameras in a video and while it has a slight resemblance with the currently existing FX5 and FX5 Mark II, there’s sure to be increased specs and functionality that will be made known in the coming weeks/months.
Other cameras teased in the video include the FX9 and Venice Cinema Camera but there’s no word yet on both. Watch the teaser video below;
