Last week, reports emerged that Sony was working on a compact, entry-level full-frame camera for vloggers and photography enthusiasts and now, Sony might have confirmed that report with a new teaser for an undisclosed camera that the company will announce next week.
The post which is on the Sony Japan website simply calls the new camera a “concept” and going by what was posted on Sony Alpha Rumors last week, the new compact camera or as it was dubbed Sony ‘a7C’ is the first in a new line up of compact full-frame cameras.
While much isn’t known yet, these are the speculated specs sheet that the ‘a7C’ will come with;
- The same 24MP sensor as the Sony a7 III
- The same fully-articulating screen as the Sony a7S III
- The AF capabilities of the a7S III
- Similar shape to the Sony a6600, but with an EVF in the corner
- Built-in IBIS
- A single SD card slot
- 4K/30p video capability
- A price tag around $2,100
