When I saw the trend post, I was so curious and thought to myself, ‘who makes a full living selling stock images?’ I mean there are very few photographers who make a full-time living shooting stock photography. It is also a way to supplement your main work and provide some additional financial security by diversifying your income streams. The video below goes in-depth to show you how two photographers made $47,000 selling their photos on stock services and if you take a leaf from them you will be making extra funds and be financially buoyant.

This 10min youtube video comes to you from Mango Street, and it discusses how they made $47,000 selling their stock photos.  What stood out the most in this video is keeping record data on the sales and an inside look at the sort of photos that sold well. Certainly, this shows that making a full-time living shooting stock photography is not as easy as it once was, but depending on what you shoot, you can often create a lot of assets on a job without a lot of extra work. Check out the video above for the full rundown. The only way you can make a perceived income in selling stock photos is to consistently create a variety of images that speaks to the trends with a touch of creativity.
