TAMRON ANNOUNCES THE LAUNCH OF THE 35-150MM F/2-2.8 FOR NIKON Z MOUNT SYSTEMS.

The 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD (Model A058) for Nikon Z mount system, is the world’s first F2-2.8 fast-aperture zoom lens. is a uniquely wide-open versatile lens, with prominent focal lengths for travel, events and portraiture all combined in this lens. You still get a fast aperture in this all-in-one body. It is a sharp, high-quality and fast single-lens solution for events, portraiture, all-around shooting, as well as video.
The lens is compatible with the TAMRON Lens Utility software developed in-house by TAMRON that helps users to update the lens to the latest firmware without going through the camera, and also supports functions to for focusing operations and other actions when shooting still images or video.
In 2021, Tamron released a familiar lens for the Sony E-Mount. Now, Nikon users will have their variant. The 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD (Model A058) for Nikon Z-Mount is said to be on sale from September 21, 2023 at $1,999.
TAMRON TO MAKE FIRST-EVER 17-50MM F/4 FOR SONY E-MOUNT FULL-FRAME MIRRORLESS CAMERAS.
Tamron has announced the development, for the world’s first wide-angle zoom for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras: the new 17-50mm F/4 Di III VXD (Model A068) zoom lens. This makes it a good choice for portraiture, landscapes, travel and a host of other intentions; all with one lens. It is also reported to be a worthy pick for stills and video adventures.
The length of the lens does not change whilst shooting, this is ensured by the internal zooming design, making it perfect for a balanced grip during shoots; stills or moving. It also utilizes a VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor to drive the autofocusing system. Linear motor AF systems are excellent for fast and precise focusing performance and are nearly silent – ideal for video applications.
The 17-50mm F4 is built with a moisture-resistant construction in mind, making it fluorine coated to aid the repellence of dust and moisture. It is also compatible with Tamron’s Lens Utility software tool, making room for user customization and firmware updates.
Pricing information is yet to be made public, but the lens should go on sale in the fall, as stated by Tamron.
TAMRON ANNOUNCES THE DEVELOPMENT OF 70-180MM F/2.8 FOR SONY E-MOUNT FULL-FRAME MIRRORLESS.
The Tamron original 70-180mm F/2.8 zoom will be having a successor: the 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III VC VXD G2 (Model A065) for Sony E-Mount full-frame mirrorless cameras.
The G2 is a class-leading compact and lightweight telephoto zoom and will support Tamron’s Lens Utility and Lens Utility Mobile apps, allowing for lens functions customization. Weighing in at 855g (30.2 oz), the new lens is slightly heavier than the original, which was only 815g, and a little longer as well, measuring 156.5mm (6.2″) versus the original’s 149mm length. It uses 67mm filters, similar to many other Tamron lenses for mirrorless cameras.
From Tamron, “The 70-180mm F2.8 G2 marks the further evolution of the first-generation model that earned high acclaim in the marketplace and incorporates several enhancements. Leading the list of improvements of the new G2 lens is the incorporation of TAMRON’s proprietary VC (Vibration Compensation) mechanism. The lens maintains the maneuverability of class-leading compact size and weight* while enabling shooting with greater stability.”
Pricing information has not been announced but Tamron says the lens will arrive in the fall of 2023.
