So many photographers claim that 24mm is a wacky lens for portrait shoot but this article will prove to you that you can make an amazing portrait shot with that same wacky lens you abandoned on your shelf. What you may not know is that the 24mm lens is a wide-angle lens that can be used for portrait and environmental shots.
Here are some of the ways in getting a better portrait:
- Get a Supportive Lens: If taking a close-up is on your to-do list, then you just have to get an extra lens.
- Avoid Your Subject Filling Up Your Frame: Filling up your frame using a 24mm will definitely cause a great distortion on your subject, that’s something you wouldn’t want on frame.
- Give Your Subject Space: It’s so important to give enough space because it prevents image distortion by shooting at a very wide angle to capture the environment and your subject at the center.
- Shoot From Exaggerated Angles: This is typically one of the best ways to use a 24mm lens. Moving your camera slightly from beneath and from other relevant angles can keep your shots looking beautiful.
