There is a rumour that has been on for a while now – since March- that the EOS R5C is more like an updated version of the Canon EOS R5, making a lot feel it’s a replacement. The R5C is reportedly created for video makers with a cooling effect system that takes away the heat due to long hours of recording. Based on rumours, the specification for the R5C is set to have a larger body coupled with an LCD screen positioned in such a way that allows the cooling system to work effectively.
This camera is likely to be released in mid Q1-2022 although the date is not certain yet although the EOS R5c will be equipped with the same image sensor as the EOS R5 and will have all of the same recording options in addition with its super hybrid camera for stills shooting. The EOS R5c will also come with C-Log 2.” the Canon Log 2 is one big deal for serious videographers and content creators, as the R5 is currently limited to Canon Log 1. It has long been rumoured that C-Log 2, and even C-Log 3, could be coming to the R5 in a future firmware update. However, given the impending release of the R5c, though, and given how Canon likes to delineate its Cinema EOS products, it is possible that these log modes will remain exclusive to the R5c.
