Smartphones have come a long way since their inception in the mid-2000s, with some of them possessing enough firepower to edit PSDs and RAW images (yes, we’re talking about the iPhone and iPad) but with the emergence of the smartphone has also come a host of image editing applications and it is sometimes a little too hard to decide which is best for you.

These applications give you maximum control over the outcome of your image and unlike most other applications, there’s no loss in image resolution, meaning after exporting the images, you retain full image quality as though you were editing on a PC and as such, you can print and still see great amounts of detail.
