Xiaomi Mobile is amongst Industry Leaders in Smartphone Technology with their mobile devices like the Mi Note 10 Pro spotting a 108 Mega Pixel Penta Camera setup and the new 48MP Quad Camera Note 9S, amongst other great devices. Now, Xiaomi Mobile has launched the second edition of its widely favored ShotByMi Photo Contest, with the winner of this year’s competition walking away with $5,000 Creative Fund.

The ShotByMi Contest is an Invitational photography challenge from Xiaomi to it’s fans to create photos that tell exciting and inspiring stories using their respective Xiaomi devices. The first edition of the competition which held in 2019, garnered over 130,000 photo entries globally whilst also gathering praise from Xiaomi fans and photography enthusiasts.

ShotByMi 2020 is themed “Your Vision, Your story” with and the competition will be divided into three monthly independent episodes with the first episode themed “Summer Vibes” and the company invites photographers as well as for the first time videographers to create remarkable photo and video stories unique to themselves but in line with the theme.

Speaking with James Ikpe, Lead of the Mi Community in Nigeria, he said; “As a storyteller myself, this is an amazing opportunity for every creative to showcase their exceptional abilities by telling our Nigerian stories in the most beautiful visual ways to a global audience. ShotByMi also represents the perfect event for mobile creative storytellers to build a close affinity with a family that places it’s people first. We are excited and look forward to all the special Nigerian stories that will be told”.

The contest will be judged by four internationally acclaimed photographers and in the end, successful participants would be supported with a $5000 creative fund package as well as Xiaomi products to keep motivating them.
