As everyday Technology gets better and better, the improvement in smart-phone photography commonly known as phonograhy/phoneography is all but now a thing that has come to stay. Which smartphone cameras packing enough juice to shoot high end Music videos like Lady Gaga demonstrated recently, it is only right that we embrace the new trend and make the best of it.
It is in this light that the guys at Phoneography Lagos are organizing a two day exhibition themed “Forest Of Polaroids”, a collation of images shot by the everyday humans from Nigeria and Beyond on their smartphones.
Entry into the Exhibition is free, all that is needed is for persons interested to register on their website (click here). The Photography space everyday is becoming more inclusive and feats like this promote awareness to the wonder that is possible with the cameras attached to smartphones.
The Exhibition which was earlier stated to hold in March is now slated for the 19th and 20th of June, 2020 with a private screening first on the 11th of April at the Oriental Hotels, Victoria Island Lagos.
This is one of many such exhibitions held by the group in recent times. One was held in October of 2019 and the first one “Colors of Lagos” held in November of 2018 at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos with over 1000 persons in attendance. The groups seems to not be relenting in their pursuit to make sure that the voices of smartphone photographers and the art they create are held.
