With the Global lock-down no where close to ending, FORMAT (format.com) an Online Portfolio Platform that aims to promote photographers and their businesses has created a $25,000 fund to aid photographers until some semblance of normalcy returns to society.
In a statement from the organisation, it says the company created the fund to help independent photographers until the effects of COVID 19 is greatly reduced. the statement reads; “The world is currently unpredictable and full of uncertainty—something the photography community is used to. Thanks to the level of ambiguity they deal with, that same community is resilient and creative in the face of a challenge. Format created the Photographer Fund to honor that hustle and help independent photographers who are facing unprecedented financial hardships in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak stay on their feet.”
Application is accessible to everyone (Photographers) whether they are customers of Format or not and selection of those eligible to receive the funds would be done by the People at FORMAT. You apply, click here and to learn more about FORMAT, click here.
