These exhibitions can be organized by individual photographers, groups of photographers, art institutions, or photography enthusiasts to organizes and showcase their artistic vision for the purpose of education, entertainment, or promotion and share their artistic vision with the public.

The primary objectives of an exhibition can vary based on the context and the photographers’ goals. The following are some typical goals of exhibitions:

Storytelling: Many photography exhibitions focus on telling a story or conveying a message through a series of photographs. This storytelling aspect can be powerful and emotionally engaging for the viewers.

Documenting Topics or Events: Some exhibitions concentrate on documenting certain occasions in history or contemporary societal challenges, giving spectators a window into a variety of facets of life.

Educational Purpose; Exhibitions of photography can inform viewers about various locations, customs, and civilizations, promoting intercultural knowledge and understanding.

Inspiration; Exhibitions provide opportunity for photographers and spectators to enjoy the art form, pick up inspiration from others, and learn from one another.
