Often times you would think it’s easy to shoot in black and white than converting to monochrome in your post-production (editing). However, because it’s a two-colour tone does not make it less difficult to achieve.
A couple of people still ask what black and white means in photography? A black and white photograph is an image where all colour has been removed either in the digital process or through the choice of the film. It consists of shades of gray tones that generally go from dark (black) to light (white).
In this YouTube video by http://Photo Tom, he shares helpful information that can improve and build your monochrome photography skills. One great thing about black and white images is that they have a fantastic way that evokes a sense of emotion or drama. In fact, they can be a great choice when a coloured image fails to express or convey the message the image is trying to pass. A great way of achieving this is by switching your camera to its monochrome picture profile.
