Now, Let’s get to it.
The new year is riddled with opportunities for growths. Many people like to use the new year as a slate to change things up and that’s good. It is said that “only an unwise person does the same thing and expects a different result”…. The opportunities that photography offers are near infinite, the genres are diverse and as such create a unique position that ensures that everyone has an equal chance at “getting the bread”.
Here at the BOPNetworks, it is our priority that photographers in Nigeria and across sub-Saharan Africa reach their fullest potentials so we’re shaking things up too. We have various activities planned cutting across the calendar year that we hope offer intense value to the photography and film community. Hopefully, we’d be unveiling the theme for this year’s conference soonest, there’s the monthly B.O.P Opportunities desk that provides information on the latest competitions and grants that photographers can apply for, there’s in house talks to revive the Cottage Conference and start touring Nigeria to we can have detailed conversations on how to break barrier ceilings limiting photographers around Nigeria.
It’s a new year, it’ll not be business as usual… There’s so much to learn, there’s so much to unlearn. The opportunity for growth is endless and you can achieve that dream by creating the same great images you already do.
