The year is coming to an end and so far, 2021 has been the flagship for camera top brands, from Canon, and Nikon to Sony that finally launched the a7 IV ,which by the way, is doing really well in the market. This year saw majority of the camera manufacturer introduce new innovative gears to meet the needs of their users while others updated most of their old gears by replacing them with beautiful and attractive bodies and features.
The big question is what does 2022 hold? While we ponder on this thoughtful question here’s a comprehensive video by Tony Northrup . He made general predictions majorly on what we should look out for from the Sony manufacturer come 2022 and I feel he’s valid about his suggestions.
There are various challenges that Tony mentioned in his video which are very paramount to camera manufacturers, and I totally agree with one of which is that “they struggled with connectivity. Wifi eats batteries and connecting is rarely an intuitive process, and Bluetooth is notoriously unreliable, with full automation crippled by its tendency to drop packets of data, something that’s fine for audio, but catastrophic for images”. As a manufacturer of both phones and cameras, Sony has the opportunity to design a new system and establish a new standard of how these devices talk to one another.
I’m curious to know what next year holds from these guys and would like to know what you think about the cameras that they were able to produce this year and what you look forward to next year from your favourite camera manufacturer.
