Kola Oshalusi is the creative director of Insigna Media Production and the convener of the Business of Photography conference. The medical laboratory scientist has defied all odds and built a brand and a name for himself in the fashion and entertainment photography space. Kola does so well in his craft and this in turn has given him a platform for both the local and international audiences.
In Kola’s words, ”I don’t see challenges in what I do. I see them as ways of learning, evolving and getting better. I am learning to work with an effective team, building a team around my work, understanding that the creative process is not about you but about a team.” He has built and raised photographers and other creatives doing well in the industry and he’s definitely a team player, coach and one who would route for creatives to get better.
His aim with the business of photography conference is to bring photographers, photography enthusiast and other creative to learn, relearn and promote their craft. Kola aim is to see that photography and the imaging industry is appreciated in Nigeria and that creative see to it that the creative space is a good ground to start a career.
