Temitayo Akindele, professionally known as Teewhyimages is a Nigerian portrait and beauty photographer, videographer, and creative director. A native of Ogun State, Akndele was born in Lagos on November 10, 1997. He began honing his craft in 2018 after completing his studies at the PEFTI Film Institute in 2017, where he majored in Performing and Media Art. His work in photography, videography, and creative directing have earned him a robust portfolio that boasts of visual works for major companies and multinationals like Firstbank, Gtbank, Exxon Mobil, and Hollandia Choco milk, to mention a few. He has also worked with renowned brands such as Shade Ladipo, IC (Omo Allen), and 1305 Clothier.
Teewhyimages was the first Nigerian photographer to organize a Photowalk, where he involved photographers, models, makeup artists, and stylists across Lagos. The Photowalk was marked as an important event in the creative industry and was covered by and aired on one of Nigeria’s most reputable media houses, Silverbird Television.
Teewhyimages has been described as fun-loving, unscripted, and creativity-driven. His art is unique because of its simple, yet deep message. His works reveal fighting against rape, racism, and finding your identity as a woman.
