Jared Polin of FroKnowsPhoto has come with an exclusive official preview of the new Nikon Z5 Entry Level Full-frame camera and right off the back, the camera is going to cost $1,399 for the body only.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Jared breaks the specs and looks of the camera, stating that outside the LCD screen on top of the Nikon Z6 and Z7, the Z5 will be identical to its predecessors in every way physically. Also internally, there’s a 24.3 MP full-frame sensor and while this sensor isn’t backlit, it will feature an EXPEED processor to assist will low light performance.
The Z5 will shoot 4k videos at 30fps with a crop factor of x1.85 and will shoot full HD video that is 1080p at 60fps without any crop. There’ll be animal and human eye AF right out of the box and for connectivity, the camera will feature WiFi, Bluetooth, and a USB type C connector that can be used to charge the camera while in use.
