With the release of the DJI RS 2 and RSC 2, DJI premiered what might become the next step in focusing technology for manual focus lenses. It’s no news that filmmakers and cinematographers prefer using vintage lenses and cinema lenses because of the unique feel that they provide but when shooting on gimbals, its hard to focusing on stabilizing your footage while also pulling focus (hard but not impossible) and the new DJI LiDAR 3D focus system seeks to eliminate that difficulty, making it possible to achieve almost perfect autofocus on vintage/cinema manual focus lenses.
