With the launch of the Fujifilm X-T4 earlier this year, the company Fujifilm announced that it was developing a 50mm f/1 lens with autofocus to be announced sometime this year and according to the titular Japanese photography twitter account @Nokishita_c, the lens is coming very soon.

In a tweet from last week, the guys at Nokishita confirmed that the company was gearing up to announce the lens, tweeting; “The article title Fujifilm has officially announced XF 50mm f/1 R WR has been added to overseas news sites” implying that the lens would soon be unveiled.

Last month, the site had unveiled patents that Fujifilm submitted that showed designs of 3 wide angle f/1 lenses. While there’s still no sign that those patents will hit the market soon, the XF 50mm lens might just be days/weeks away from hitting stalls.
