Canon was definitely not the first camera company to produce a full-frame camera, but on inception into the mirrorless camera feature, their full-featured cameras performed impressively with image quality, AF performance, and many other attributes that made the brand stand out. The latest Canon EOS R3 Mirrorless camera has some of the most advanced capabilities, including features the company has ever put in a camera, making it an appealing option for a wide range of creatives, particularly sports and wildlife photographers.
The Canon EOS R3 Mirrorless camera comes with a built-in grip and high-level features, it is clear Canon intends the EOS R3 to be a professional’s body. Some of its most notable features include:
- 24.1-megapixel backside-illuminated sensor
- Blackout-free shooting
- 6K 60p raw video 4K 120p 10-bit video with no crop
- In-body image stabilization offers up to eight stops of compensation
- 30 fps full-resolution continuous burst rate
- Eye-controlled autofocus and Deep Learning Technology
Perhaps the one drawback of the EOS R3, particularly as opposed to the Sony a1 and Nikon Z 9, is its relatively low resolution, but we expect the eventual EOS R1 flagship to feature a higher-resolution sensor. Check out the video below from YouTube for Wegener’s full thoughts on the EOS R3.
