In May while the lockdown for the pandemic was still very much in effect, Zhiyun Tech, manufacturers of the Zhiyun Smooth 4, Crane 3, and Weebill S gimbals rolled out their latest 2 axis stabilizer gimbal the Smooth X and the most incredible thing about that gimabl was the fact that it cost just $59 (N22,715) alongside a new app; the Zhiyun Cami.
Gene Nagata of Potato Jet rolled out his review of the gimbal and here are a few pointers about his observations after using the gimbal;
- The 2 Axis stabilization still offers pretty smooth shots
- The Extension Pole (Telescopic Mode) is quite handy for getting low angled shots or fitting more people into the frame
- The track feature that comes with the Cami App works very well
- For Wide Angle shooter, the position of the motor doesn’t interrupt your shots
