With sales of Cameras being at a record low and the availability of announced cameras and lenses still uncertain, its coming as a shocker that Imaging Giant; Canon might be working on a couple head turners for the year 2021.
Reports on Canon Rumors suggest that Canon is working on an EOS R1 mirrorless camera for sports photographers and a high-megapixel “EOS R5s” that trades video performance for resolution. This is outside earlier reports that pointed towards an EOS R6 that is still expected to debut this year after the recently announced and anticipated EOS R5.
Also the reports are speculating an APS-C sized sensor camera with the R mount but with Canon stating that it still has plans for the M mount, its very unlikely that that speculation would be true but fingers crossed over the next few months. The EOS R5 is already causing quite the stir and if it pans out to be all what Canon promises, competitors like Nikon and even leading mirrorless cameras giant Sony would have their work cut out for them for the next couple years.
