Colour grading is the process of stylizing the colour scheme or pattern of your footage by painting on top of what you’ve established through colour correction. Although there are individuals who are specialists in colour correction and colour grading, notwithstanding, as a video editor one can learn how to colour grade without necessarily pushing it to the colourist. No matter the type of camera you have or if you have different footage from Canon, Sony, Nikon, Black Magic, Red, etc, LUT is applicable in the post-production process.
