Have you ever bought a new or second-hand camera and you don’t know what settings to perform on your camera. It’s usually difficult especially when it is a second used camera. You will literally have to change all the settings on the camera before you make use of the gear.
I have handled cameras that really gave me a tough time because they weren’t mine and I didn’t know what kind of setting the user had set in place. I simply go through the basic setup of the camera before I can start shooting.
There are things you should do when you buy either a new camera or a second used camera; also very important when buying a used camera is always watch out for the shutters count which is evidently the life span of the camera.
- Change Copyright: This is so important especially if you have just purchased a used camera. This shows that you’re the owner just incase situation arises and you don’t have your receipt around you this will save you from embarrassment.
- Clear All Settings: There’s usually a pre-setting done by the previous user and this varies based on location and region, especially if you aren’t in the same location regardless of that you still have to clear settings, and that allows you to manipulate the camera to your own preferred setup.
