For many creatives, the dream isn’t just to make great work, it’s to create in spaces that challenge, inspire, and transform them. The question then is; “What if that next big step for your practice could begin in Paris?” That is exactly what RESONANCE, the international residency programme developed by ART X Lagos, is offering.

In partnership with Cité internationale des arts, the Embassy of France in Nigeria, and Institut Français du Nigeria, this residency is designed to give Nigerian creatives the time, space, and support to focus fully on their practice away from distractions and closer to new possibilities. That is the promise of RESONANCE, the flagship residency programme developed by ART X Lagos in collaboration with Cité internationale des arts, the Embassy of France in Nigeria, and Institut Français du Nigeria.

What is RESONANCE?

RESONANCE is more than a residency. It is a creative reset. It is an opportunity for artists, curators, and designers to step outside their familiar environment, engage with their work differently, and experience what becomes possible when their practice is placed in a global context. Over three months in Paris, selected creatives will be immersed in one of the world’s leading cultural capitals,  surrounded by art, ideas, dialogue, and inspiration.

What Selected Laureates Will Receive

The residency includes:

• A three-month residency in Paris
• A live-in studio at Cité internationale des arts
• Travel and living support, fully covered
• Access to international institutions and creative networks
• Opportunities for mentorship, dialogue, and cultural exchange

This means more time to create, more room to think, and more opportunities to grow.

Who Can Apply?

RESONANCE is open to visual artists, curators, and designers living and working in Nigeria. If you are building meaningful work, seeking international exposure, and ready to challenge your creative boundaries, this residency was created for you.

Sometimes growth requires more than talent; it requires environment. A new city. New conversations. New perspectives. RESONANCE offers all three. It is a chance to leave your comfort zone, deepen your practice, and return with new ideas, stronger networks, and a broader vision for your work.

Opportunities like this do not come often. If you have been waiting for a sign to take your creativity further, this is it.

Applications are now open. Click HERE to REGISTER
