The growth the Nigerian photo and film industry has witnessed in the last hast half decade is somewhat unbelievable and we haven’t even tapped past the past the western region of the country. Lagos state still hold somewhat of a monopoly on the entertainment industry in Nigeria but with spaces like YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, etc., there’s so much the outside world can learn and experience about the Nigerian photo/film industry that waiting on Nollywood only to deliver would have meant years.
Spearheading this initiative are various groups of creatives, taking on various industries in Nigeria and showing the world can we can deliver the same (if not better) quality of content to entertain and educate the public. Leading the wave in the film industry are the following creatives;
Ibidunni Oladayo; The youngest of the bunch, Ibidunni is taking educative content above and beyond in the most exciting and captivating ways. He leads the team at I.O-Filmworks and has worked with a host of brands and with the simple goal of showcasing “Filmmaking content made by Africans for Africans and the World“.
