James Madison of Fstoppers reports that when it comes to pinhole photography, he has very limited experience as such he found the advice by Mat Marrash very useful. He also reports that in the video below, Marrash introduces us to two different 8×10 pinhole cameras. Marrash takes one with him on a day of shooting different scenes in a midwestern town. Madison goes ahead to admit that although he won’t be trying pinhole soon, it looks like a fun thing to try. He further says that there’s no fidgeting with the focus or movements or choosing the right lens or anything else other than the exposure time. Madison also states that given the extremely fixed aperture, all the exposures, including one in broad daylight, are still quite long and suffer from reciprocity failure. And concludes that it is all part of the charm of pinhole photography.
