Chidiebe Ashimole popularly known as Lex Ash, is a portrait and fine art photographer, and he also doubles as a musician. He has a BSc in Estate Management from the prestigious Covenant University. He is passionate about people, and his works are inspired by how he feels and the people he meets.
Lex is particular about visual storytelling, art directing, poetry, and natural aesthetics. He started his career in photography while in university and the connections he has made are an important part of his journey ” Yielded most for me are the connections I’ve made in my journey so far.” Over his 9 years of photography so far, his work has been featured on CNN, USA Today, Financial Times, Vogue Italia, Lightroom, among others. He also exhibited at Africa Photo Festival, New York, The Wheatbaker Hotel, and a McKinsey showcase.
Ashimole also started recording music in 2019. So far, his work has availed him the opportunity to share local stories on international platforms, and he hopes to be a major driving force in the recognition of Art in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
